Exhibitions

WCA/NH offers a variety of juried and non-juried exhibitions each year. You must be a member of WCA/NH to participate in some of our exhibitions. Others are open to the general public. Check each prospectus for details. We are now working on scheduling exhibitions for 2017 and 2018. If you have a contact or idea for an exhibition or wish to be notified by e-mail of monthly meetings and alerts, e-mail Paulette Brace, WCA/NH Exhibitions Chair, or come to our Exhibitions Committee meetings, which take place on the third Thursday of every month at the Women’s Club of Concord, Chamberlin House, 44 Pleasant Street, in Concord, from 10am to noon. Everyone is welcome!

WCA/NH has been organizing exhibitions since 1996, over 20 years! A list of exhibitions from 1996 through 2016 is available here: Women’s Caucus for Art/New Hampshire Chapter Exhibitions History

The exhibition is limited to sixteen poets and sixteen artists who will collaborate. The work may be integrated or separate, but will be shown together in an allotted space.
Alice Fogel will invite poets to participate and WCA/NH is asking for participating visual artists. The invited poets will choose their collaborative partner from among the artists wishing to participate. The WCA organizers, Kate Dean and Kate Higley, will work to create a good match between exhibitors. If you express interest by the deadline, we will send further instructions about the exchange of information and materials and how it will proceed.

“FORCE OF NATURE: Exploring the Power of the Feminine”

When women demonstrate their feminine power and energy in positive ways that command deep respect, they are often referred to as a FORCE OF NATURE. The work submitted for this exhibition was encouraged to be broadly interpreted with concepts that might range from myth and legend to the personal, historical or political. Artwork considering Nature (as in Mother Nature and her natural forces), eco-art and ecofeminism were also strongly encouraged. July 6–August 14, 2015.  Check out our Force of Nature blog,  https://forceofnaturewcanh.wordpress.com, for news, history, and related events!
