Our WCA Gnu, Tattoo Gnu, brought the highest bid at the The Gnu Gala Auction, at the Lake Sunapee Country Club in New London on October 11, 2009. Kay Steen, who was the highest bidder at $6000, plans to set up Tattoo Gnu in front of her store, Wingdoodles, in Warner. Kudos to Sandy Bartholomew, Bette Abdu, Kathy Freeburn, Debbie Skinner-Perez, Liz D'Amico, Laura Morrison, Jennifer Swett, Carol Currier, and Donna Conroy!

The Gnus of Gnu London is a community-based art project that hit the byways of New London, NH, May 30-October 1, 2009. Money raised from the gala auction in the fall will go to support a new community-based arts and culture program run by the New London Area Center for the Arts (formerly Kearsarge Community Center.)
