Since 2005, the New Hampshire Chapter of the Women’s Caucus for Art (WCA/NH) has awarded annual scholarships to one or more female-identified NH resident majoring in the visual arts at an accredited NH college or university.

This year, from the 13 applications submitted, jurors selected three students to receive awards. It was a tie for first place between Audrey Thurston of Gilmanton, a fine arts major at New England College and Jocelyn Roache of Belmont, majoring in art education at Plymouth State University. Each will receive $2000 toward their fall tuition. Johanna Huezo of Manchester placed second and will receive $1000 toward fall tuition at the Institute of Art and Design of New England College.

In addition to tuition support, first place winners receive a complimentary one-year membership in the New Hampshire Chapter of the Women’s Caucus for Art. This gives the students the opportunity to participate in exhibitions and other programming alongside established artists to further support their budding career in the arts.

Check back here next year in late winter to enter the 2027 scholarship.
